Hi there, I am DragonExplosion and I am a YouTuber. If you like my videos, do leave a like and subscribe at my channel.

This was an interesting horror game about the main character heading to a strange facility in the middle of the woods on her own to record footage of the area first before other competitors arrive. I liked the haunting mood and atmosphere of the game where the game makes use of sound effects and lighting to create a creepy environment. At the first few minutes of the game, it felt as though something could pop up at any time to scare me especially before entering the facility. As the main character proceeds further into the facility, more strange paranormal events began to occur where the main character began searching for a way out.

Since the game is going to become an actual complete horror game, I have a few thoughts and suggestions about the game. Firstly, I liked the mannequin jumpscare but felt that the animation for the jumpscare can be more jarring or creepy. This also applies to the ending of the demo where the animation for the creature can be more smooth and right in the main characters face as for me it feels like the creature was quite distant from the main character. Secondly, I am not sure how the chats with friends will be used as a game mechanism in the game but do make good use of the function. Perhaps calling and the addition of voice-acting would be interesting as well. Thirdly, the inclusion of various items in the game to access the next area has been quite easy so far where I was wondering whether the upcoming  puzzles would increase in difficulty but the puzzles should be accompanied with elements of the story and horror going on in the facility as well. Fourthly, I feel that the game is lacking in terms of the fear factor within the facility where I felt quite safe walking around the facility so maybe more can be done to increase the scariness of the environment within the facility. Lastly, definitely a lot more has to be included within the storyline as the idea of the main character entering a strange facility to record videos and encounter strange creatures isn't strong enough to drive the story. Maybe something big about the main character or the facility can be included to drive the narrative further and pique the player's interest.

Thank you for reading my comment and I wish you good luck in your future endeavours.

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback.

  • Yes, there will be harder puzzles and more gameplay elements that are not present in the demo.
  • Understand the lack of storyline direction, as the demo is just a slice of the game, so the player is wondering why they are there to begin with. I chose to leave the story ambiguous during the demo but can see how it feels lacking.
  • There are increasingly scarier environments as you progress, the idea is that things start off relatively normal but become more disturbing the further you go.

Again, thanks for the feedback. As you mentioned there are improvements that could be made. Hopefully you will try out the full game when it comes out.
